Through innovative technology, managing the process of continuous quality development of school education and delivering quality services to the school community

Kandurata Education Zone is one of the prominent education zones in Sri Lanka’s Central Province, located in the Kandy District near the hill capital. The Kandurata Zonal Education Office oversees the development of educational quality across all institutions within its jurisdiction, including government, semi-government, and private schools, as well as Pirivenas. The zone comprises several education divisions and promotes improvement through annual themes, innovative learning strategies, and targeted programmes. Subject directors, divisional directors, and in-service advisors work together to strengthen teacher development and enhance student achievement across the zone. In partnership with principals and teachers, the Kandurata Zonal Education Office fulfills its duties with diligence and a strong commitment to excellence.

Community Engagement: To foster strong relationships between the Zonal Office, schools, parents, and the wider community to support student success and overall educational development.

Administrative Excellence: To provide efficient and effective administrative support to all schools within the zone, ensuring a smooth and supportive environment for educational activities.

Student-Centric Education: To ensure that all educational activities are student-centered, focusing on the holistic development of students’ academic, intellectual, and personal skills.

Teacher Development: To conduct continuous professional development programs, workshops, and training for teachers and principals to enhance their knowledge, skills, and teaching standards.

Enhancing Educational Quality: To manage and improve the quality of school education by implementing national and provincial educational policies and new teaching methodologies.
